Message from the Dean « Quay lại About The Falculty of Materials Science and TechnologyThe Faculty of Materials Science and Technology (FMST) was one of the first among 4 faculties established at the founding of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 1956. Generations of faculties and alumni have strove for educational excellence, research, and technological exchange, continually reinforcing future institutions and technical infrastructure. Nearly five thousands students have received higher education from this faculty as bachelors, engineers, masters, and doctors, profoundly affecting various areas in science and technology, economics, culture, society, defense, and security, most commonly in metallurgy. Such experiences have matured our students greatly, some of whom have become high leaders in the government and party or armed forces and others have become famous scientists and entrepreneurs. Considerable achievements in training our students in Metallurgy and other Materials Science and Technology fields, research and transfer of technologies, and the devotion of our faculty members in education & management for over half of century have contributed to the prestige of Hanoi University of Technology throughout the country and the world. Today, FMST continues to renew academic programs, widen the scale of education, guarantee the quality needed to meet the demands of students studying materials. Working conditions for faculty members, and that the student's learning environment is gradually improved. Facilities for research and education invested in by the government are competitive with the development of modern science and technology. The Faculty is ready to best prepare its students with the skills, theoretical background, and technological expertise needed to succeed in today's rapid advance of Science and Technology and the ever challenging business climate.
